“Remember when...” is a weekly historical feature showcasing life in Kershaw County, taken from the archives of the Chronicle-Independent. Townley Redfearn, standing in for his father, Rotary Club President Rufus Townley, who was recuperating from a heart attack at his home, pinned the Rotary President’s Pin on incoming President John K. deLoach Jr. in July 1973. At Mr. deLoach’s left was Secretary John Lindsay and Treasurer Thomas Rose. Rufus Redfearn became the club’s vice president.
