I truly thank the brave workers of South Carolina who are fighting for economic justice and who voice their concern about this state’s consistent disregard for the interest of the working class.
The working class has lost jobs because of NAFTA and globalization while seeing their tax burden increase due to unfair federal and state policies that reduce taxes of wealthy individuals and corporations.
We are living in a time of economic uncertainty. It is the duty of our folks in government to build and lead.
Poverty has become an extremely serious problem for the South Carolina working class. As in a horse race, those who prospered during the last eight years must be handicapped to account for the disparity created of failed economic policies. Only then can you ask the less privileged to share the requested sacrifice.
America, the land of opportunity and promise; this is the hope of all humanity.
