Carolina First recently merged with and rebranded as TD Bank in Camden and other communities across the southeast.

“We are so excited this day is here and thrilled that Carolina First is now part of the TD Bank family,” said Rob Hoak, regional president for South Carolina and Wilmington, N.C., for TD Bank.

Over the course of just a few days in June, TD Bank replaced approximately 1,350 signs in the Carolinas at 103 locations, and introduced several new customer conveniences and products. TD Bank has also replaced or refurbished all ATMs in these markets.

TD Bank promised customers that the celebration would continue through June and into July with some “Days of Convenience” and “Surprise and Delight” events to WOW! customers.

To deliver on its brand promise of being “America's Most Convenient Bank,” TD Bank will offer customer-friendly features, including:

* An open, streamlined look and feel at its stores

* The longest banking hours in the markets it serves

* Instant-issue debit cards right when customers open their accounts

* Local bankers making local loans, who establish customer relationships focused on service and individualized financing solutions

* Penny Arcades, coin-counting machines that are free for customers

* Free pens, and treats for kids and dogs

* Live customer service by phone, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year

* Access to more than 1,250 stores and 2,000 ATMs from Maine to Florida.

Although the name is changing, the service and many of the faces that have contributed to the success of Carolina First will remain the same. Customers will continue to benefit from the bank's commitment to local decision making and community involvement, as well as the same great service from many of the same friendly employees.

TD Bank opened with its new extended hours during the conversion weekend. Customers will also begin to see the new TD Bank name and brand on account statements, receipts, and other forms of communication, and were also mailed new TD Bank Debit Visa®/ATM cards.
