The Camden Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated held its Second Annual Debutante Cotillion: Belles of the Crimson Radiance in May at the Shrine Club in Camden.  The Cotillion Ball is a rite of passage provided to exemplary young ladies in the Camden and surrounding areas.

The six high school senior debutantes attended several months of self-enrichment workshops to learn personal development; poise, posture and etiquette training; and proper skin care and make-up, while focusing on inner beauty, scholastic excellence, and public service. They also attended sessions as members of the chapter’s Dr. Jeanne L. Noble G.E.M.S. (Growing and Empowering Myself Successfully) Program. The young women were readily prepared to be presented to society as their escorts led them to the center of the ballroom floor to take her bow to society and to perform their waltz.
