Wayne D. Davis, of Astor, Fla., passed away at home surrounded by his three daughters. Mr. Davis was born on Nov 29 1936 in Camden S.C to the parents of Clennie and Zada Davis. He served in the United States Army for 25 yrs, retiring as a Sgt Major. Upon his retirement he moved from Gainesville, Fl. relocating to Micanopy, Fl. in 1981. He became founder of The Pearl Of Micanopy Inc., in 1986 until 2002 at which time he retired to Astor, Fl.

Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years Pearlene Davis; second wife Gay Davis. Parents Zada and Clennie Davis, and his five brothers, Jack, Ted and his wife Gerry, Mack, C.E., Kinard, and his beloved dog and companion, Miller.

Survivors are his three daughters; Debbie Davis Noble of Cross Creek, Fl., Lisa Davis Kissinger of Atlanta Ga.,and Melanie L Davis of Gainesville, Fl., brother Richard Davis and his wife Bobbie of Quincy, Fl, 5 Sister-In-laws, 1 Brother-in-law, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Davis' viewing will be held on July 23, 2011, from 1:00-3:00 pm at Beyers Funeral Home, Astor Fl. Memorial service immediately following. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Cornerstone Hospice. On line condolences may be made at www.beyersfuneralhome.com. Beyers Funeral Home, Astor.
