If you or others you know are interested in teaching English to a non-English speaking person or group, mark your calendar for Aug. 11-13.

The Kershaw Baptist Association, at 14 E. DeKalb St., Camden, will offer classes to prospective English as a Second Language teachers from 5 to 9 p.m. Aug. 11 and 12 and 8:30 a.m. to 3  p.m. Aug. 13. According to Joan Reconnu, instructor for the workshop, teaching experience is not a requirement, nor is knowledge of another language.

At the conclusion of the workshop, teachers will have all the materials and information necessary to begin classes.

Registration is necessary for materials, and the cost is $25.  The deadline to register is Monday.

Students who are already certified may need to take a refresher course if they have not received updates from the revised material. Updates will be offered in the Aug. 13 morning session, however, return students may attend the entire workshop if they choose. They should bring their manual to class. Cost for these students is $5.

For more information, call the Kershaw Baptist Association at 432-3028.
