Haylee Michele Gause, Robert Coy Gibson and Benny Alvin Harris Jr. are among 184 students from the United States and Canada chosen to receive an academic scholarship from the Fred and Mary Koch Foundation for the 2011-12 academic year.

Haylee, Robert and Benny will be attending the University of South Carolina. They are also dependents of INVISTA S.a.r.l. employees.

Scholarships are awarded yearly to applicants demonstrating a strong academic record, extracurricular involvement, leadership and service. The recipients, all of whom are dependents of current or former employees of Koch Industries Inc., or its wholly owned subsidiaries in the United States and Canada, are selected by an independent panel of judges with expertise in the field of education.

The Fred and Mary Koch Foundation initiated the academic scholarship program in 1970 for dependents of Koch employees. Since that time, more than $3 million in scholarships has been awarded.

Benny is the son of Ben and Jackie Harris; Haylee is the daughter of Angie and Ricky Gause; and Robert is the son of Tim and Jennifer Gibson.
