Funeral services for Richard Homer Threatt, 42, will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. Keith Coates will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service Saturday from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.

Mr. Threatt died Wednesday, August 3, 2011. Born in Baltimore, Md., he was the son of Helen Dixon Threatt and the late Horace Kenneth Threatt Sr. He was a member of DeKalb Baptist Church and enjoyed Hunting, Fishing, and shooting pool. He also was an avid Jimmy Johnson fan and loved to watch NASCAR.

Surviving is his wife, Candace Self Threatt; daughter, Necole Kelly of Centerville; son, Cody Threatt of Cassatt; step children, Hope Kelly of Elgin, Dakota Kelly and Rebecca Kelly of Camden, grandchildren, Brittney Branham, Aerial Branham, Summer Stives, and Ashley Baker; expecting a new granddaughter; brothers, Steve Threatt, Ronnie Threatt, Bobby Jo Norris, Will Norris, Corey Norris; sisters, Cathy Anderson and Cheryl Jones. He was predeceased by his biological father, Terry Norris Sr.; and brothers, Kenneth Threatt and Terry Norris Jr.
