Betty Robinson Davis

Betty Robinson Davis, 76, of Goose Creek, widow of Malcolm Clennie Davis, passed away on August 4, 2011.

Born in Kershaw County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Clifford Pearson and Kathleen Williams Robinson.  She retired from AT&T as a telephone operator in 1994 after working for twenty five years.  Mrs. Davis was a member of First Baptist Church of Goose Creek and the Pioneer Club.

She is survived by her son, Danny Malcom Davis, Sr. and his wife Deborah of Middleburg, FL; three daughters: Donna Gayle Davis and husband David Humphrey of Tavernier, FL, Darlene Davis Goolsby and husband Doug of Rock Hill and Rhonda Davis Kierpiec and husband Anthony of Cottageville; three sisters: Mary Ellen Munn of Lugoff, Marlene R. Warr of West Columbia and Linda R. Bramlett of Elgin.  Mrs. Davis is also survived by nine grandchildren: Jarrell, Danny, Craig, Meaghan, Nick, Mandy, Stacy, Joey and Mary; five great-grandchildren: Madilyn, Hart, Kendal, Molly Grace and Wyatt. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by two brothers: Charles and PeeWee Robinson, and a grandson, David.

The family received friends on Saturday, August 6, 2011 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek Chapel, 869 St. James Avenue. The family will also receive friends on Monday, August 8, 2011 from 11:00am until 12:00pm at Hermitage Baptist Church in Camden, 814 Jefferson Davis Highway. Funeral Service will follow visitation and burial will take place at Quaker Cemetery, 713 Meeting Street, Camden, SC.
