Asay/Joseph combine to capture Camden CC Four-Ball crown

The cousins’ duo of John Asay and David Joseph captured the Camden Country Club’s Members Four-Ball golf tournament, played over the Donald Ross-designed layout on July 29-31.

The two-man teams played a qualifying round on Friday to determine into which flight they would be placed. On Saturday and Sunday, the teams participated in a single-elimination, match play tournament.

Here are the results from the annual three-day event:

Championship Flight: John Asay/David Joseph def. Cameron Greenway/Brad Anderson, 2-up

First Flight: Gary Morris/Jeff Tindall def. Chad Lynch/Ryan Hall, 1-up

Second Flight: Bobby Parnell/Lanny Williams def. Laverne Anderson/Jody Robinson, 3-and-2

The third flight and the seniors flight were stroke-play events based on net scores. The results in those divisions were as follows:

Third Flight: Tim Hudson/Scott Rankin won with a net score of 61-59 -- 120

Senior Flight: Ken Carson/Jimmy Stokes won with a net score of 61-57 – 118
