Matthew Hutto of Blythewood, the son of former Camdenite Ginny (McCorkle) and John Hutto, and grandson of Janet and the late Buddy McCorkle of Camden and Lynia and the late Crawford Hutto of Lexington, won the recent S.C. Junior Golf Association City Championship in the 8-9 year old division. Janet McCorkle, the popular, retired former Carolina Cup administrator, rode in the golf cart with Matthew and helped keep score in several of his events. Matthew shot 2-under par on the final day for a come from behind victory and will represent the Midlands in the state tournament in Pickens, based on his season-long point standings.
