Wannetta Faye, Simpkins Perry Mansfield, 58, of Camden, died Sunday, August 14, 2011, in her sleep at home.

Born in Phila. Pa., Faye was the daughter of the late Fred Simpkins and Rev. Dr. Virginia S. Tucker. Faye, who resided in Teaneck, New Jersey, was a Christian and loved the Lord. At an early age, she received her religious training and baptism in Mt. Zion Baptist Church (Kirkwood.) Faye was a pianist, spiritual leader, and minister of music for several churches in New Jersey. Faye attended Jackson High and graduated in 1971 from Camden High School.

Surviving include her spouse, John Mansfield; children, Charmaine Haskins and Latashia Branch; grands, Ch'Vonne, Joy, Ezekial, and Jeremiah; siblings, Vanessa McClintock, Greta Attoh, Carmen Alston, Susan Robertson, Eugene Simpkins I, and Donald Tucker; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held in Paterson, New Jersey; the funeral will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church (Kirkwood), Saturday, at 2:00 pm with burial in the Sanders Creek Cemetery.
