Blaney  Elementary School third-graders – including Hunter Fogarty, Mason Woodberry, Preston  Estep, Emily Gutierrez, Merah Hughes, Emily Vinson, Joseph Romero and Ethan Meeker, students in Jessica Frye’s class -- were happy to share their first day’s school lunch with their new resource officer, Officer Tony Wages (right) with the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office.  Wages will be at each West Wateree elementary schools, teaching the “Too Good for Drugs and Too Good for Violence” curricula as well as getting to know his students informally. Three school resource officers are available to students through the Safe Schools/Healthy Students grant.
