The third annual Autumn Attic Sale to benefit the Community Medical Clinic of Kershaw County will be held Sept. 15 to17, in the former Gifts on Broad, located at 1041 Broad St., next to Sam Kendall’s restaurant in downtown Camden.

This year the committee, chaired by Susan Field and Ellen Gordon-Creed, is hosting a “preview party,” to be held Sept. 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. Traders is sponsoring the party. Champagne and hors d’oeuvres will be served. The cost is $20 per person, payable at the door.

Deb McAbee, clinic resource development coordinator, said, “The preview party offers an opportunity for working customers and past attic sale fans to get first crack at some fantastic bargains. Champagne and shopping, what could be better?”

The following are a few of the special items available this year: man’s shearling coat, lace tablecloths, French caned dining chairs, nearly new men’s suits and sport coats, dishes and kitchenware, and tons of Christmas ornaments and decorative pieces. Regular sale hours are Friday, noon to 6 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“Merchandise is priced to sell,” McAbee said. The Autumn Attic Sale helps the Community Medical Clinic raise funds to purchase medicine for its increasing number of patients.
