Tiffany Rogers dished out 35 assists to help get the North Central offense in gear for what became a three-game sweep over rival Andrew Jackson in a non-region volleyball pairing on Tuesday in Kershaw.

Andy Johnson’s troops kept their record clean through four matches with the 25-6, 25-20 and 25-20 victory.

In addition to her 35 assists, Rogers added two digs and an ace for NC, which went from sixth to third in the most recent state Volleyball Coaches’ Association class A poll.

Elexis Ross added a double-double for the Lady Knights with 16 digs and 14 kills to go along with five service aces. Madeline Pate aided the winning effort with 10 digs, eight kills and two aces while Ashley Rogers had 11 digs and a kill. Samantha Snipe had a big night at the net, recording 10 kills while Cassady Robinson contributed five kills and a pair of blocks.

The Lady Knights will head to Sumter on Saturday to take part in the Gamecock Invitational. Next Saturday, NC will host its annual tournament in Boonetown. Details as to the teams, times and other information will be forthcoming.
