Jamie N. Costello

Jamie N. Costello of Alexandria, Va., formerly of Lugoff, has been recognized in an employee recognition publication of Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) for her outstanding job performance.

She is a requirements analyst in the intelligence operations and technologies division of SAIC, a private defense contractor in Alexandria. The article said of Costello: “Jamie Costello has had an immediate impact in the Intelligence Operations and Technology Division (IOTD) with her skills and experience. She was hired in November 2010 … but quickly proved that her prior experience in Army HUMINT, along with her ability to quickly learn new material, made her someone that could accomplish a wide variety of tasks.”

A SAIC team member recognized the value she has added to the team, saying in the article: “In a few short weeks, Jamie Costello has improved our understanding of user needs and has helped us identify and focus upon potential changes that will provide the greatest operational value to users. Her talents, experience and professionalism will make her a valuable member of any team she joins.”

Costello attended Wateree elementary and middle schools and Lugoff-Elgin and Camden high schools. She earned her GED and joined the U.S. Army. During her six years of service, she served two tours of duty in Iraq as a human intelligence collector.
