The residents and staff at Southwinds Assisted Living Facility in Ridgeway took up a collection of school supplies to donate to Lugoff Elementary School. The supplies will be used in Lynn Looney’s special education class.

“We’re very appreciative of everyone coming together to support our school,” LES Principal Melissa Loyd told the residents and staff. “We’re very glad to get these supplies. They will be put to good use!”

After presenting the supplies, Southwinds offered all in attendance punch and refreshments.

Anna Owens, owner of Southwinds, said she and the residents were happy to be involved in providing support to children in Kershaw County.
