MEMBERS OF THE CHS volleyball program have, once again, joined in the fight against breast cancer and will host Cardinal Newman and Irmo tonight in the Lady Bulldogs’ annual “Dig Pink” matches.

Throughout the month of October, the Camden High School volleyball team is participating in the "Dig Pink" National Breast Cancer Awareness Rally. They are promoting breast health education in the community as well as raising funds to help eradicate Breast Cancer.

The Lady Bulldogs are wearing pink socks and ribbons in each game to raise awareness of breast cancer. Each school participating hosts a Dig Pink event and Camden’s event will be tonight when Paige Wilson’s squad hosts a tri-match against Irmo and Cardinal Newman starting at 5:30 p.m. inside the Dog Pound..

Dig Pink night patrons will watch the girls compete on the court and will also be able to participate in the awareness program. All fans are encouraged to wear something pink to the matches during which breast cancer survivors will be honored. Booths will be set up to distribute awareness materials. Contributions can be made at this evening’s matches or, you can visit the team’s web page at or click on the link at

The team is also taking pledges for every dig or kill they make during the month of October.

All proceeds from all donations will benefit the Side-Out Foundation, a national 501(c)(3) located in Washington, D.C.
