Organizers for the inaugural Camden Antiques Fair announce that 33 antique dealers are booked for the event and many hail from out of state. They will bring items new to the South Carolina market and shoppers will find an array of offerings which feature furniture, toys, ceramics, sporting artifacts, rugs, silver, crystal, jewelry, books, maps, rustic furnishings and pottery. A list of dealers and ticket information can be found on line at www.steeplechasemuseum.org.

The first opportunity for attendees to meet the dealers and view the offerings is during a Preview Party on Thursday, Oct. 20 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Rhame Arena. Event designers Toby Sheorn and Thomas Walter promise an eye appealing event for the participants and visitors by building 33 custom sales booths and a Café within a garden inspired environment. The preview party is an ideal time to meet the dealers and have a first hand opportunity to purchase before the fair opens to the public. The event is being catered by Aberdeen Catery and entertainment provided by Joy Claussen and Greg Boatright.

Tickets for the event are available at $60 per person and $100 per couple

The show and sale is open to the public Friday, Oct. 21 and Sat., Oct. 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. General admission tickets are $7 and may be pre-ordered or purchased at the door. Visitors will be able to browse the exhibitor booths, enjoy a lunch at the Café prepared by the Catery on Broad, then pick up a map and list of other attractions, fine shops  and great restaurants to visit in the area.

The Fair is organized by and will benefit the National Steeplechase Museum which is located on Springdale Race Course.
Rhame Arena is located at 517 Bull St., Camden.
