'I tremble for my country'

Recently, the state of Georgia executed Troy Davis for the killing of police officer Mark MacPhail. Seven out of nine witnesses of the Davis trial recanted or contradicted their testimony against Troy Davis. Texas inmate Michael Mortor was convicted on circumstantial evidence and sentenced to life in prison. Also recently, DNA tests proved that Mortor was wrongly convicted for murder after serving 25 years in prison. I truly believe the future belongs to the one who holds the pen and the future holds us hostage for interpretation. Like Jefferson, I trembled, but not with fear because the Bible tells us ...
