The Camden Antiques Fair will debut this week with a treasure trove of furniture, toys, ceramics, sporting artifacts, rugs, silver, crystal, jewelry and art.

The event opens Thursday with a preview party and continues through Sunday at Rhame Arena, corner of Broad and Bull streets. Organizers said 33 of “America’s best dealers” will present an array of antiques for sale.

The Camden Antiques Fair will be presented by and benefit the National Steeplechase Museum. The partnering charity is Habitat for Humanity of Kershaw County, whose volunteers will assist with logistics and receive a portion of the proceeds.

The Camden Antiques Fair will open with a preview Party at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the arena with all dealers open for business. The event will be catered by Aberdeen Catery, and entertainment will be provided by Joy Claussen and Greg Boatwright. Limited tickets are still available at $60 per person or $100 per couple.

The show and sale will continue from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. General admission tickets are $7 and may be pre-ordered or purchased at the door. For more information, call 432 6513 or visit www.steeplechasemuseum.org.

In addition to the event at Rhame Arena, visitors will receive a map showcasing local antique stores, restaurants, shops, accommodations, tourist attractions and events held concurrently. Among the latter is a book signing for the new release, “Mary Chesnut’s Illustrated Diary,” at the Robert Mills Courthouse from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday.
