City shuts down Facebook page amid YMCA controversy

The city of Camden shut down its Facebook page Friday, leaving several hundred people who had chosen to "Like" the page behind. Suddenly, those friends of the city were no longer receiving updates on Camden events or able to comment on city issues.

Things were a little confusing at first in the Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County's Douglas Reed House Monday night. Two sought in home invasion

The Kershaw County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) is looking for two men who invaded a home on Blarney Stone Road near Elgin around 9:45 p.m. Thursday. A total of six people, including three boys, ages 2, 5 and 12, were in the home at the time, according to a KCSO report.

Churches host 9/11 service at Kershaw County Courthouse

Four churches came together for their fourth annual 9/11 memorial service on Sept. 11 to mark the 13th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of 2001. About 50 people showed up for the service, held at noon in front of the Kershaw County Courthouse on Broad Street in Camden.
