Will Rice refused to use the previous week's emotional 20-14 loss to neighboring North Central as a crutch for a possible letdown heading into Camden Military Academy's road contest at East Clarendon last Friday night.
Louis Clyburn had a good feeling as he led North Central back onto the field for the second half of Friday's game with in-county rival Camden Military Academy. Across the way, his opposite number and CMA head coach Will Rice, was hoping against hope that his Spartans could finish the job.
FLORENCE -- Another close encounter with the win column for Lugoff-Elgin, but it ends with the same result. Just like in last week's 21-14 loss to Nation Ford, this game ended with a tight, hard fought loss.

When Camden Military headed to North Central last season, it was a trip into the great unknown for the visitors who were playing with an almost totally revamped roster and without a game under its belt.
