Celebrates 100 days of school by giving back
In honor of being in school for 100 days, the kindergarten and pre-K students at Camden First Baptist Church collected more than 300 pieces of food to donate to Christian Community Ministries. In total, 98 students and 18 teachers participated. In addition to the food collected at school, 5-year-old Abbygail Caulder celebrated a recent birthday and asked all her attendees to bring canned good instead of gifts for herself.

Two weeks before Christmas, Mark Mason had an idea. He wanted to feed a hot meal to those in need on Christmas Eve. So he approached the owners of Hall's Restaurant in Lugoff to ask for help. At first he was told the restaurant wouldn't be open, but after the owners consulted with the employees of the restaurant, they agreed to come in for the good cause.
