Liberty Hill fundraiser a success

The officers and members of the Liberty Hill Civic and Improvement Association (LHCIA) are delighted to report that the fundraising event held on October 27 was a complete success. The event coincided with the Community Center building's 75th anniversary. Lights of Lugoff parade Saturday

The fifth annual "Lights of Lugoff" Christmas parade will begin Saturday at 6:30 p.m. on U.S. 1 in Lugoff. The 2012 parade is sponsored by the Lugoff Optimist Club and local businesses. The parade route will begin at the BP Station in Lugoff, travel down U.S. 1 South, and then turn right on to S.C. 34 (Ridgeway Road). All spectators are asked to remain around U.S. 1 for the parade.

Input requested on trail plan

Eat Smart, Move More Kershaw County, in conjunction with Atla Greenways, is currently developing a Master Bicycle-Pedestrian-Greenway Plan for the county. The plan will examine current conditions of the community's transportation system and outline a strategy to create a system that is friendlier to cyclists and pedestrians and identify areas for trails and greenways. In order to acquire public input, the organizations are asking county residents to visit and fill out an online survey. Responses will remain anonymous.
