CBA hosts ‘Breakfast Before Hours’ Thursday

The Camden Business Alliance (CBA) will host its first Breakfast Before Hours event Thursday. A complimentary continental breakfast will be offered. The CBA has expanded its mission to include all businesses in the city and invites all business owners to attend.

Funeral service for Leonard Richard McCaskill Jr., 81, will be held today at 3:00 p.m. at DeKalb Baptist Church with burial to follow in Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Keith Coates and the Rev. Frank Smith will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association.

A celebration of life service for Catherine Hicks Reeves, 90, of Camden, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2013 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. A memorial service celebrating the life of Ray Marion Brasington, 85, of Camden, was held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Bethel Worship Center, Camden, SC. Pastor Casey Mills, Pastor Raymond Sellers and Reverend Bruce Hancock officiated. The family received friends following the service in the church sanctuary. Foster families for the shelter are needed

The Walter M. Crowe animal shelter is in desperate need for temporary foster homes for dogs leaving for rescue groups up north. If you are interested please call the shelter at 425-6016 as soon as possible. Animals must be out of the shelter for two weeks in a foster home before they can leave.
