A celebration of life of Dr. Peter Brice McKoy will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, April 5, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Camden. Rev. Bruce Hancock will officiate. The family will receive friends in the church Fellowship Hall following the service. Interment will be held at a later date at Oakdale Cemetery in Wilmington, NC.

Boykin Spaniels

Earlier in the week, we had an opportunity on this page to celebrate one of Kershaw County's premier attractions, the Carolina Cup. And so now, we turn away again from the travails of an often somber world to note another local phenomenon -- the Boykin Spaniel, that hardy but lovable little dog that had its origins right here in Kershaw County.
