As things get worse

As the days, weeks and years go by, it seems as if the ways of the world and bloody actions of people get worse and worse. A lot of this comes from the laws of the land. If you only think and remember, the government banned prayer from functions, sports and schools; tied the hands of parents from disciplining their children; and places outrageous taxes and fines on everything.

A happy, satisfied patient

Last week, I had surgery at KershawHealth. In light of the recent intense media reporting about problems at KershawHealth, I was anxious to see firsthand what impact it may have had on the day-to-day operation. They were respectful, motivated, professional, capable and caring. I could not have asked for better care. KershawHealth and my angels occupy a special place in my heart.

CHS band was a champion, too

At last Friday Night's tilt between Camden and Cheraw, I read with interest the eloquent narrative about Zemp Stadium contained in the game program. Miley Cyrus

Of course we're not naive enough to believe that the United States is still caught in a 1950s time warp when it comes to the entertainment business -- or anything else, for that matter. Times change, and so do values and mores. It's been a long time since married couples on television were forced to sleep in twin beds lest an audience get the idea that they actually might be intimate. The innocence of Leave It To Beaver and Ozzie and Harriett are long gone. Yet the continual pushing of the limits of good taste troubles some people, and ...
