Robin Fleming

CAMDEN – Robin Grant Fleming, son of the late Harold George and Phyllis Marjorie (Coldicott) Fleming, was called home on July 3, 2013 after a six month battle with lung cancer. Born on June 27, 1942 at the foot of the Himalayas in Thandiani, India, Robin's compelling life spanned over four continents.

A different case

So-called "stand your ground" laws have been a matter of controversy around the country in the last couple years, but no case involving such a law is more puzzling than the S.C. Supreme Court's agreeing to hear a matter in which a confessed murderer who kicked in a door and then killed his robbery victim claimed he should have immunity because he was fearful for his life, thinking the victim he was robbing was about to kill him.

Local medical clinic receives donated shelf

The children at Sandhills Medical Clinic (SMC) in Lugoff are the first recipients of a "Livi's Libaray" bookshelf in the area. "Livi's Library" is in memory of Mary Olivia Pettit, the 9-year-old daughter of Bryan and Lisa Pettit. Livi had a great passion for books which is what inspired the idea.

Born in Winston Salem, NC, he was the son of the late Simon and Lucinda Edgefield Williams. A Celebration of Life Services will be held Sunday, July 14, 2013, 2:30 p.m. at Chapel of Remembrance Brown's Funeral Home, with burial in Broom Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Rembert, at a later date. Brown's Funeral Home, Camden, is serving the Wardell family.
