KCSD to hold public meetings to discuss FEP

Community members are invited to learn more about the Kershaw County School District's facility needs at a series of public meetings being held later this month and in October. Superintendent Frank Morgan and Operations Executive Director Billy Smith will hold a series of meetings across the county to explain the district's building needs, answer questions and receive suggestions.

Dawn M. Wicker

Dawn M. Wicker passed away peacefully at home on September 5, 2013. Dawn was born and raised in Michigan and graduated from Eastern High school in 1959. She was a nurturer who enjoyed the time she spent with students in Lansing School District for 25 years, however, her true calling was raising her family. She was a member of the VFW Post #8346, Lake Wateree Ladies Auxiliary. She held a special place in her heart for her three children, five grandchildren and her brother and sister.

Funeral service for Mr. Clarence "Jack" Thompson, 88, of 146 Battleship Road in Camden will be held Saturday, September 14, 2013, 2 p.m. at Ebenezer AME Zion Church with burial in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held 12- 7 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home on Friday, September 13 and one hour prior to service at the church on Saturday. Collins Funeral Home is inc charge of the arrangements.
