Sweet pets looking for forever homes

Among the animals available for adoption at the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter are Dallas, a one-year old very sweet Terrier mix and Lila, a playful nine-week-old black and white kitten. The adoption donation includes spaying or neutering. Soccer camp registration open for kids 6-14

This soccer camp is open for boys and girls ages 6-14. Players will be grouped by age, size, and ability. Daily training sessions will include individual ball handling skills, partner skills, developmental games and much more. This fun-filled week is the perfect way to introduce players to the game of soccer and to challenge advanced players to improve their game. It happened again. Our sheriff, Jim Matthews, spoke before Kershaw County Council the evening of June 25. After witnessing the sheriff addressing council, I now believe the only thing left he can do is to get on his knees and beg. Throw his hands up. He has tried so hard, yet his deputies are underpaid and his department is understaffed.

I-20 eastbound lane shift coming Friday

Kershaw County residents who commute to Columbia, or vice versa, will notice a major traffic shift on I-20's eastbound lanes Friday in northeast Richland County. Beginning Friday, the new traffic shift will affect eastbound I-20 from I-77 to Spears Creek Road. This shift will not affect westbound traffic.
