A graveside service honoring the life and memory of Dorothy S. "Dot" Moore of Lugoff will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Camden. A celebration of life service for James Sevelle "Jim" Hill, Jr., 64, Camden, will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. The Rev. Bruce Marthers and the Rev. Gordon Gainey will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or COPD Foundation.
Funeral service for Eleanor Stover Frazier, 65, of Columbia, Maryland, formerly of Camden, S.C., will he be held Saturday July 14, 2012, 11 a.m. at St. John Baptist Church, 3238 John G. Richards Road in Camden with burial in the church cemetery. Collins Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

As we noted Monday, the Camden Planning and Zoning Commission was scheduled to hear a proposal Tuesday night for a rezoning request for the Beechwood property on Knights Hill Road, a move which could lead to a retirement community being built there which would be a tasteful and feasible addition to the Camden community. We hope the project moves forward.
