Funeral service for Roy Nick Branham, 80, will be held Monday at 4:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Camden. The Rev. Steve Lewis will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Spring Valley Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Columbia man arrested, retired N.C. trooper’s weapon recovered

The Kershaw County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) arrested a Columbia man following a traffic stop the evening of April 16. According to a KCSO statement released Friday afternoon, James Carter, 21, of Columbia is charged with simple possession of marijuana and possession of a stolen handgun.
