On Ground Hog's day, seventh- and eighth-grade students from area middle schools traditionally go to work with a relative to expand their knowledge of the world of work. Fourteen students visited Blaney Elementary School to shadow relatives or former teachers. Twelve of those were from Stover Middle School. Mr. Freddie Lee Robinson, 60, of 167 Reddick Road, Bishopville, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 7, 2012. He was the son of Almeter Boyd Robinson and the late Willie Robinson. Funeral service will be held Friday, February 10, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Saint Matthew Baptist church with burial in church cemetery, bethune. Mr. Robinson will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. for viewing. Brown's Funeral home, Camden is serving the family of Mr. Freddie Lee Robinson.

The Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County (FAC) announces the second annual performance of Cabaret Night with the Columbia City Ballet in the Wood Auditorium tonight at 7 p.m. Tickets to this, one-night-only event are $35 each. The ticket price includes a wonderful "After Party" at TenEleven Galleria immediately following the performance. Only Cabaret Night ticket holders will be allowed access to this special gathering.
