The officers and members of the Liberty Hill Civic and Improvement Association (LHCIA) are delighted to report that the fundraising event held on October 27 was a complete success. The event coincided with the Community Center building's 75th anniversary. At the beginning of my mayoral race, we conducted a survey to identify the concerns of Camden voters. Given our apparent community division about recreation, we found to our surprise that voters were mainly concerned about jobs. Recreation was fifth on the list.
The fifth annual "Lights of Lugoff" Christmas parade will begin Saturday at 6:30 p.m. on U.S. 1 in Lugoff. The 2012 parade is sponsored by the Lugoff Optimist Club and local businesses. The parade route will begin at the BP Station in Lugoff, travel down U.S. 1 South, and then turn right on to S.C. 34 (Ridgeway Road). All spectators are asked to remain around U.S. 1 for the parade.

Eat Smart, Move More Kershaw County, in conjunction with Atla Greenways, is currently developing a Master Bicycle-Pedestrian-Greenway Plan for the county. The plan will examine current conditions of the community's transportation system and outline a strategy to create a system that is friendlier to cyclists and pedestrians and identify areas for trails and greenways. In order to acquire public input, the organizations are asking county residents to visit www.surveymonkey.com/s/KershawBPGAll and fill out an online survey. Responses will remain anonymous.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy I. Jennelle in 2003; brothers, Clarence, Harlan, Johnny and Ralph Caldwell and sister, Hilda Brennalt.
