Burial will take place at the Greenhill Baptist Church Cemetery in Lugoff SC, Haile's Funeral Home is serving the family.
Funeral service for Briana Nicole Rabon, 18, will be held on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Sawney's Creek Baptist Church, Ridgeway, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Dean Reynolds will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday 4-6 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. As part of the Safe Schools Healthy Students Grant, the United Way of Kershaw County (UWKC) will host a very special training and workshop session for all present, past or future mentors on Monday at the Chamber of Commerce (Robert Mills Courthouse) located at 607 Broad St., in Camden.
The Kershaw County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) and S.C. State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) are investigating the strangulation death of an 18-year-old Lugoff woman. Kershaw County Coroner Johnny Fellers said Briana Nicole Rabon, of Ridgeway Road, died of asphyxiation by strangulation. Fellers said he has not been able to determine a time of death.

The Fine Arts Center (FAC) of Kershaw County will hold auditions for the Camden Community Theatre production, Bark! The Musical. Auditions will take place on Sunday and Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the Wood Auditorium. The production will be directed by Jami Steele, FAC director of theatre and education.
CamdenART will meet Monday at 7p.m. The group will offer a unique wood burning demonstration and hands-on opportunity by gourd and wood burning artist, Linda Kincaid. CamdenART members will get a chance to try their hand at this precise and detailed art work.

Kershaw County Coroner Johnny Fellers informed the C-I a short time ago that Briana Rabon, the 18-year-old woman whose body was discovered behind the Haigs Creek subdivision Wednesday, died of asphyxiation from being stranged. He said an autopsy was conducted earlier today.
