The passing of some Southern giants

They are known by many different names: historic, significant, heritage and living legacy. No matter what we call them, they are unique and have persevered for over a century in the face of civil war, storms, droughts and human encroachment. They have also been witnesses to the everyday occurrences that surround them. "They" are some of Camden's giant trees. A giant tree, in my opinion, is one that measures 40 inches or more in diameter or 10 feet in circumference. There are undoubtedly many Kershaw County residents fed up with the gridlock in politics. The recent government shutdown was unnecessary and avoidable, and it represented all that is bad about Washington and the way our country is run. While Congress itself gets single-digit approval ratings from the public, people across the country seem to like their own representatives, and they return them to office again and again. Thanks for support

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended and those who so generously supported the 1920s "Wolf's Lair" Speakeasy in Camden in early September. I know money is very precious to a lot of people today, and to spend your hard-earned money by attending the event means a lot. I know profit margins for businesses are small and for you take your money from your sales to support this event also means a lot. My only way to give back my appreciation is to have given you the best performance RAH Productions could give.
