So every new discovery is met with enthusiasm, and that's certainly the case for a new blood test announced earlier this week by Boston scientists, who are teaming with Johnson & Johnson to market a test that will help doctors determine what ...

Springdale traffic area poses numerous hazards

In addition to Steve Parrott's letter of Dec. 22th I would like to add my concerns about the dangerous intersection at U.S. 1 and Springdale Drive and the numerous accidents there. I am also a resident of the Springdale area and see logging trucks as a big problem, but so are other vehicles. The 45-mph speed limit approaching the final curve at Wal-Mart needs to be lowered to 35 mph. Drivers go zooming in ...

NEW YORK -- It befalls the columnist this time of year to look back and recap; to assign blame and shame, while offering the obligatory mea culpa; and, of course, to resolve.

We are proud of our historic homes and buildings, carefully placed public parks, wide streets, and beautiful trees.
