Born in Greenville, SC she was the daughter of the late Gary and Edna Moore of Seneca, SC and the granddaughter of the late C.P. and Lelia Moore of Westminister and William and Annie Sanders of Courtney. Pets of the week - June 3, 2011

Among the animals available for adoption at the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter are a calico kitten and a 1-year-old female beagle. The adoption donation includes spaying or neutering. The shelter, located at the south end of Fair Street and managed by the Kershaw County Humane Society, is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Reader: Zemp answer raises questions

The Kershaw County School Board response in Monday's Chronicle-Independent to Scott Jordan's statement on Zemp Stadium is nothing if not informative.
