Gloria Mixon Goskie age 58, widow of the late John Goskie, passed away November 28. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 am at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Lake Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 5-7 pm at the Funeral Home.

Our Public Works Department's street and electric crews have been diligently working to decorate the city for Christmas. Thanks to their efforts, you will see some new and different additions to downtown. Earlier in the year, an ad-hoc committee was formed to assist in enhancing the holiday décor along DeKalb and Broad streets. KC Women to Women 35th annual Christmas luncheon

Monday, the Kershaw County Women to Women Bible Study will be having their 35th Annual Christmas Luncheon. This Interdenominational group of ladies has been meeting for 35 years to study the Bible together. The group represents a blend of several different denominations and our teacher is Rev. Patrice Davis from St. Matthew Baptist Church in Lugoff.

We've been whacking national Republicans pretty hard lately. They lost the presidential election by appearing to be completely out of touch with the majority of voters. They have been the image of obstinacy, acting as if they are still operating in a cloakroom of darkness. Even Sen.
