Lugoff First Baptist CMC 4K class donates to Food for the Soul

Lugoff First Baptist's Children's Ministry Center 4K class, led by April McCaa and Dorothy Kessler, raised $708 for Food for the Soul by bringing in change and having a bake sale. They were so excited to share with others and show God's love. The class told the workers at Food for the Soul that "Jesus helped us raise the money!"

Letter: Camden needs to grow, but more answers needed

As a property owner of land contiguous to Beechwood and also as a citizen interested in seeing Camden move forward, I appreciate the opportunity to express my views via our local newspaper. I am not opposed to an upscale retirement community being developed on the Beechwood property. I think it could add value to our city, if properly executed, and be a good business proposition for the developers and future residents.
