Marie Kelly Branham, 90, of Elgin, SC, died Friday, May 25, 2012. Born in Tookiedoo, SC on September 4, 1921, she was a daughter of the late John Mannes Kelly and Gazell Abbott Kelly. Marie was a beloved fixture in the Elgin community, owning and operating Branham's Grocery for 31 years, working alongside her husband on the family cotton and corn farm, and serving as nurse for anyone in need in the area. She was a member of Smyrna United Methodist Church, where memorials may be made in Marie's memory at PO Box 66, Elgin, SC 29045.
