Mr. Roux, 77 of Denver, NC passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at his residence. He was born on April 1, 1937 in Kingston, NY the son of the late Raymond Augustus Roux and Mildred Louise Magee Roux.
Mrs. Edna M. Jasper entered eternal rest on July 1, 2014 at the Kershaw Health Medical Center, Camden, SC. The family is receiving friends at the home of her daughter, Patricia (Polly) Jasper at 611 East Liberty Street, Lot # 29, Sumter, SC. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Wilson Funeral Home, 403 S. Main Street, Bishopville, SC.
A memorial service, with full Masonic Rites, celebrating the life of Robert Harold "Bob" Wolfe, 78, of Lugoff, SC, and Mill Spring, NC, will be held on Thursday July 3, 2014 at 4:00 PM at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel. It's not easy being president these days. If you doubt that, look no further than a recent poll by Quinnipiac University, a respected non-partisan entity that doesn't have an ax to grind with either major political party. The new poll shows that President Obama is now regarded as the worst president since World War II, surpassing George W. Bush, who was previously considered the worst. It's no coincidence that the two chief executives at the bottom of the standings are the last two to serve in the Oval Office.
Among the animals available for adoption at the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter are Tiny, a 10-week-old Chihuahua mix and Spaz, a 2-year-old spayed female calico long haired cat. The adoption donation includes spaying or neutering. The shelter, located at the south end of Fair Street and managed by the Kershaw County Humane Society, is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. The shelter is closed Sunday and Monday.
