I would first like to thank everyone personally that supported the North Central and Lugoff Elgin marching bands as they traveled to Disney World in February to march in Disney parades. Both ensembles had great performances and both were very well complimented by the Disney staff, parents, and visitors to the Disney parks. Thank you again to everyone that financially supported these two ensembles.
The James Leroy Belk Post 17, American Legion, recently responded to two flag-related requests in the community. The Lugoff Fire Department asked the post for a replacement flag to fly at the station and Midway Elementary School requested a new halyard (rope) to replace the worn one on its flagpole.
