Alan Harley Palmer, Sr., 80, of Dalzell, SC, widower of Jean Wheaton Palmer, died Monday, August 11, 2014. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in Alan's memory to a charity of one's choice.

Candidate Clinton?

If there was doubt about whether Hillary Clinton will jump into the 2016 presidential race, it was largely dispelled earlier this week when she conducted a wide-ranging interview in which she spelled out many of her foreign-policy differences with President Obama, who was her boss until she stepped down as secretary of state 19 months ago. During her tenure at the State Department, Clinton remained a loyal soldier, though she now reveals she didn't enthusiastically support all the initiatives that were required of her by Obama.

Eula Mae Chambers

Eula Mae Chambers was born on September 17, 1955 to Attie and L.J. Seegars. Eula attended Mt. Pisgah School in Kershaw, SC, and received her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of South Carolina and worked as a Social Worker. She married her husband of 34 years, Harvey Chambers in 1979. On April 15, 1985, Eula was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. William Stephen McIntyre

Funeral service for William Stephen McIntyre, 60, will be held on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at El-Bethel Faith Community Church Don Poeta Family Life Center with burial to follow in Hardshell Cemetery. The Rev. Joe Stines will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Beulah McCaskill

Mrs. Beulah McCaskill, 100, of Bethune, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 9, 2014. Born in Bethune, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Ida Davis Corbett and the wife of the late Nero McCaskill. A Celebration of Life and Homegoing Services will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Eleven a.m., at Sandy Level Baptist Church, Bethune, with burial in the church cemetery. Mrs. McCaskill will be placed in the church at Ten a.m. for viewing. Brown's Funeral Home, Camden is serving the McCaskill family.
