Friends of the Library annual book sale this weekend

The Friends of the Kershaw County Library Annual Book Sale returns to the Old Armory, 1034 W. DeKalb Street this weekend. The sale began Thursday with "Friends' Night" exclusively for members of Friends of the Library from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Non members were allowed to purchase a membership at the door.

It's not that this area is a pocket for the disease; rather, it's just, sometimes, peering around us, the often-deadly malady seems to be more pervasive than ever before.
