Opening night for the annual Friends of the Kershaw County Library (FOKCL) book sale is March 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. for members only of Friends of the Kershaw County Library. For those who are not yet members for 2011, membership may be obtained at the door. The site is the old Piggly Wiggly building on U.S. 1 North, across from the new Piggly Wiggly store in Camden.

The Camden Community Concert Band will present its Winter Concert Sunday at the Performing Arts Center at Camden High School. Start time is 3 p.m. Admission is free. The Miss Camden Pageant was held Saturday at Camden High School. The winners were (from left) Blythe Neal, Miss Camden Teen 2011; Sallie Pierce, Miss Camden 2011; and Carley Powers, first runner-up to Miss Camden. Neal is an 8th-grader at Camden Middle School. Pierce is a sophomore at the University of South Carolina. Both young ladies will be competing in the Miss South Carolina Pageant in Columbia June 28 through July 2.
The Bassett Gallery at the Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County (FAC) is now accepting artist materials for consideration as part of a group exhibition or possible solo show in the Bassett Gallery to be scheduled from September 2011 through May 2012.
Family Life Outreach presents its annual Spring Step Show featuring the Lil Diamonds and Rho Chi Kobras of Camden, Sigma Beta, Hartsville High, Lancaster High, St. Andrews, E.L. Dear Annie: My husband and I have been happily married for 15 years and recently decided to try an open-marriage lifestyle. We are doing this with full honesty and respect for each other.
