L-E hosts youth football clinic on Saturday

Lugoff-Elgin High School will conduct a non-contact youth football clinic for current third- to sixth-grade students on Saturday, May 24 at the school's Wellness Center.

Today, polo is played professionally in 16 countries. It is also played in Camden on the nation's second oldest polo field, built in 1898. Wasting time

What one person considers wasting time, another believes to be necessary. I grew up in a time when what your parents said was law and employers set the rules. No one dared to defy authority. Nevertheless, I often did mandatory chores that I considered, and still consider, to be a waste of time.

2014 Clinic Classic Winners

The 2014 Clinic Classic 5K/10K was held April 26 in downtown Camden. The annual event benefits the Community Medical Clinic of Kershaw County. Awards were given to the top male and female runners and age groups. For the 5K race, the top male overall runner was Ryan Plexico of Columbia, with a time of 17:11. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Nancy Truesdale DeBruhl, 78, of Camden, SC, will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, May 19, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Camden. Rev. Bruce Hancock will officiate. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM, prior to the service, in the church Family Life Center.
