KCSO seizes 44 marijuana plants from Elgin residence

During the early morning hours of Feb. 13, Kershaw County Sheriff's deputies executed a search warrant at 128 Sheffield Rd. Elgin, and discovered a fully operational indoor marijuana grow. According to Kershaw County Sheriff Jim Matthews, his officers seized 44 marijuana plants in various stages of growth. Beverly Brevard was selected as January's "Employee of the Month" for the Kershaw County Sheriff's Office. Brevard has worked in law enforcement for 22 years, beginning in 1989 as a 911 dispatcher.
