Rec Notes - Feb. 6, 2015

Spring Baseball and Fast Pitch registration is coming to a close, with last day to register being Friday, February 13 for boys ages 4 - 19 and girls ages 4 - 18 (age by May 1, 2015). Registration fee is $40 per participant. Registration can be done online at www.kershawrec.com or at the Kershaw County Recreation Department office during regular office hours. Pets of the Week - Feb. 6, 2015

Among the animals available for adoption at the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter are Nellie, a 9-week-old female German shepherd mix, and Tipsy, a 1-1/2-year-old female domestic short-haired tabby cat. The adoption donation includes spaying or neutering. The shelter, located at the south end of Fair Street and managed by the Kershaw County Humane Society, is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Edward Aaron and Friends returns to FAC Monday

Edward Arron & Friends return to the Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County Monday for the second concert of the three-part Chamber Music Series. The concert begins at 7 p.m., immediately following a cocktail hour beginning at 6 p.m. The concert will feature selections by Beethoven, Stravinsky, Weber and Debussy.
