Mr. Albert Leslie Hare, 94, of Statesville, died Sunday at the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville. Born in Kershaw County, S.C. He was a son of the late John David Hare and Etta Mae Hornsby Hare. Mr. Hare served in the U. S. Navy Armed Guard during World War II and later as an auto body mechanic in Camden, S. C. Mr. Hare moved to Statesville in 1962 where he retired from Black Pontiac. I write this letter in response to an article in your paper entitled "Episcopal Church is right to recognize gay unions."
