A funeral service to celebrate the life of Patricia Plyler Watts, 79, of Camden, SC, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 17, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Camden with a reception immediately following in the church Fellowship Hall. Rev. Bruce Hancock will officiate. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 PM, Friday, January 16, 2015 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel.
A funeral service for Barbara Ann Tidwell Cranford, 74, will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. Mark Bredholt will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.

During nine weeks of training, Army Pvt. Devin W. Bracey studied the army mission, history, tradition and core values. He also studied physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat. He also studied map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches, and field training exercises during training.

The relationship between the United States and France since World War II, when American soldiers saved the country, has sometimes been tense. The French have a tendency towards arrogance, and this often afflicts its leaders; certainly, Kershaw County residents who have visited Paris have seen "French attitude" first-hand among city denizens and businesspeople.
